Accelerated MSITM & Information Systems Master’s Programs
Accelerated programs can reduce time out of the workforce, but they compress coursework, recruiting and internship decisions. “Fastest” is therefore not automatically “best.”
| Program | Published pace | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| UT Austin – MS Business Technology & AI | 36 credits / about 10 months | Intensive full-time AI/business technology program; high opportunity cost during enrollment but short time away from full-time work. |
| Indiana Kelley – MSIS | As little as about 10 months depending on pathway | Foundation/Jumpstart requirements can affect the actual calendar for some applicants. |
| Georgia State – MSIS | 12-month full-time option | Also offers a slower part-time path; compare work/internship needs. |
| Fordham – MS IT | As little as 12 months full-time | NYC location and full-/part-time options create different cost/opportunity-cost choices. |
| FIU – MSIS | About 12–16 months | Hybrid cohort and AI-infused structure; residency materially changes published tuition. |
| FAU Professional MSITM | About 12–15 months | Professional/flexible path; compare ability to remain employed. |
| USF – MS AI in Business | 12–16 months in person / about 16 months online depending on major | Enterprise Integration and Digital Transformation are different applicant/curriculum paths. |
| UConn – MSBAPM | About 3 semesters full time | Analytics/project-management adjacent degree with campus, online and blended formats. |
Acceleration changes more than tuition
- Recruiting: you may begin recruiting almost immediately after enrollment.
- Internships: a compressed calendar can reduce internship windows.
- Prerequisite gaps: little time exists for technical remediation.
- Opportunity cost: fewer months away from work can offset higher monthly tuition.
- Workload: combining full-time work with an accelerated curriculum may be unrealistic unless the program was designed for working professionals.
