Curriculum
Oakland emphasizes data management/business analytics, information security and information-systems strategy. The curriculum includes enterprise systems, systems analysis, databases/data warehousing, networks, programming and project management. Analytics options include data science plus deep learning and text analytics.

- Format: on-campus or 100% online; Oakland states that students in the fully online MSITM are assessed at in-state resident tuition rates.
- Current graduate-business deadlines: Fall Jul. 15 domestic / May 1 international; Winter Nov. 15 domestic / Sep. 1 international. Oakland’s advising page states that MSITM does not admit for summer.
- Preparation: foundation courses may be required for students without information-systems and/or statistics background; those courses do not count toward the degree.
- Testing: Oakland publishes several GMAT/GRE waiver pathways based on GPA, prior graduate study, certifications, professional experience or military service.
Career outcomes
Oakland publishes unusually detailed 2024–25 MSITM outcomes for 24 graduates. The school reports a 96% knowledge rate; 65% were employed before or within four months of graduation, 35% were still looking at four months, and 48% had a new employer, new title or salary increase above 10%. Oakland reports a $59,816 average salary after the program, based on a 71% salary survey response rate. Because many students were already employed when they entered the program, these figures are best read as career-progress outcomes rather than a traditional first-job placement statistic.
