MSITM Jobs, Salaries & Career Outcomes

Technology-management master’s graduates enter a wide range of roles. The degree is not a license for one occupation; outcomes depend on prior experience, technical depth, location, internship performance and the type of program completed.

Current U.S. labor-market benchmarks

The table below uses the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ May 2025 wage data and 2025–2035 employment projections.

School-published outcomes from comparable programs

These figures are not directly comparable because schools use different cohorts, definitions, response rates and reporting methods. Treat them as program-specific evidence, not a league table.

How to compare career outcomes correctly

  • Prefer cohort-specific reports over generic salary claims.
  • Check whether salary numbers are mean or median.
  • Check the response rate and whether unemployed graduates are included.
  • Separate domestic and international placement when schools publish both.
  • Look at the actual job titles and employers, not only the headline salary.
  • Compare outcomes against tuition and time out of the workforce to estimate ROI.

Last updated: September 17, 2026. BLS wage figures are national medians for occupations, not expected starting salaries for graduates. School-published outcomes use different methodologies and should not be compared without context.
