Career evidence
ASU’s current MS Information Technology page lists employers of program graduates including Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Intel and Oracle and describes common roles across cybersecurity, data science, cloud engineering and IT leadership. The salary figures on the page are national BLS occupation wages, not an MSIT graduating-cohort salary report, so MSITM.com treats them as labor-market context rather than program outcomes.

Preparation & prerequisites
ASU expects incoming MSIT students to already have a technical foundation. Applicants should hold a degree in information technology, computer science, applied computing, engineering or a closely related field and are expected to have programming experience—preferably Java, Python, JavaScript or Linux—plus prior coursework or work experience in networking, information-systems security and database management. Students who lack that background can use ASU’s nondegree pathway; earning a B or better in nine graduate IT credits may support consideration for full admission.

Application deadlines
ASU’s official degree page lists the MS in Information Technology as rolling admission for fall and spring in both on-campus and online formats, and for summer online enrollment. Rolling means applications continue to be reviewed until the semester begins, subject to space and visa-processing constraints. ASU Online currently shows the next online start date as January 11, 2027.
